One-day village tour:
This one-day tour takes you to Kalpa, Roghi and Kothi villages where local artwork is displayed: wood carvings and metal art. You will also be able to taste the local tribal cuisine.
Three-day village tour:
Day 1: Visit of Kalpa and its surroundings (same as the one-day tour above).
Day 2: After breakfast, we leave for Lippa village to see wood and metal artwork and to interact with the local people there. We proceed to Spillo village where we have our lunch and then carry on our trip to Kanam village via Labrang village. Overnight stay at our KANUM homestay in Kanam.
Day 3: In the morning after breakfast, we walk around Kanam to meet local people and visit several Buddhist monasteries. Kanam is known as an educational hub and historic village. It is also said that the design of the Kinnauri shawls and mufflers called ‘Yungrung’ and ‘Swastika' in the Hindu religion was created and designed by one of the weavers of Kanam village; thus, there you can find authentic shawls and mufflers to purchase.
We leave for Ropa via Sunnam, Rushkalang and Giabong villages where wood and metal artwork is famous and the scenic beauty of Mother Nature is all around us. Lunch will be provided at one of these villages.
We go back to Kalpa in the evening and stay overnight at the 'Little Heaven Retreat Centre’, a lovely wooden house that has one of the best views in the village of the Kinner Kailash mountain range.
